A tale of separation
Stories are our heritage coming to us from the very moment our forefathers used to gather around a fire to surrender themselves to no matter what story, be it a reenactment of a heroic battle or anecdotes of a deity of this world or the other. Yet, who dares know which one of our fathers, which of the narrators on the peaks of history, was the one whose courage overcame the performance of his supposedly steadfast manhood to whisper: “Alas… 'tis be the tale of the one I saw, I loved, but could never have.”
Whispers became words in the chambers of history. Words became stories, and stories gave birth to a thousand faces of themselves, from dreams to songs.
That whisper is still within: covert or overt inside all the seeing, loving, wanting, and failing. Detachment. Separation. It is there in all colors and languages: Judaii of the Persians, Firaq of the Arabs, and the Azeri Ayriliq.
Wonderful is the fact that taking separation from language to language one shall harken different sounds but equal pains. Same agony. Same madness.
True. Pain of the Separation is the irreducible price of the courage to love.
